It is unclear whether you have already taken Article 15, or you have been merely offered Article 15. I think most military lawyers would agree that in today's military most Article 15's are resulting in a subsequent involuntary separation. Where an attorney can really assist you is BEFORE you decide whether to refuse or take Article 15.

The simple answer to this question is yes. An Article 15 is Non-Judicial punishment and may very well be used as the basis for a separation action under Army Regulation 635-200 (in the Army – other services have similar regs) paragraph 14-12(b) patterns of misconduct or 14-12(c) serious misconduct.
Unsure of what an Article 15 is but assuming it is a criminal offense under military law. I am unsure if military convictions are even reciordedf with civilian convictions. i suspect you may do best to start by contacting a JAG attorney or a civilian attorney with a military or JAG backgroubnd.
I recently received an article 15 with a loss of stripe and my first Sgt informed me that i am going to lose my AFDC and re try to be re classed . But I'm losing my AFDC for disciplinary reasons . Article 15 is non-judicial, meaning there is no jail time. You only have a possibility of going to jail if you are subject to a special or general court martial. Also, since an Article 15 is administrative in nature, the discharge is administrative as well; i.e., other than honorable, general under honorable conditions, or honorable.
