Buy those "do not eat" dessicant packs, they're cheap and reusable. I got a shit load of 5g & 10g packs. I put one or two in the ammo boxes and cans too. Especially if I purchase loose ammo, like Georgia Arms cans of heat, lol. I also put them in the bigger plastic storage boxes which have my ammo.

The vast majority of my ammo is stored in ammo cans, separated by cartridge type and lot number, kept in a separate room (same floor close by). I keep a loaded handgun in my handgun safe, under the bed my side, along with 1 extra box of ammo.
What everyone does not understand is that if New York State does place a special tax on ammo, it will be like the tax on cigarettes which if purchased out of state cannot be legally brought back into NY State. Bringing untaxed ammo into the state will put you in the possible position to be prosecuted for tax evasion!

Picked up a couple of boxes of Federal Power Shock 30-06. These are 180 grain. Have plenty of 150 grain surplus stuff but I don’t want clean the barrel all night. The rifle is in excellent shape head space is perfect. I know these are not recommended for the Garand. Any issues feeding the 03-a3 with the 180 grain ammo?
