Arkansas Tech's two greatest moments of athletic glory were provided by the back-to-back NAIA Division I national championships captured by the Golden Suns basketball program in 1992 and 1993. The 1991–92 team finished with an overall record of 35–1.
Kyle Shipp (born September 28, 1984) [1] is an American college football coach. He was the head football coach for Arkansas Tech University from 2019 to 2024. [2] [3] [4] He previously coached for Arkansas State and Arkansas–Monticello.
The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys football team represents Arkansas Tech University in college football at the NCAA Division II level. The Wonder Boys are members of the Great American Conference (GAC), fielding its team in the GAC since 2011. The Wonder Boys play their home games at Simmons Bank Field at Thone Stadium in Russellville, Arkansas.
Arkansas Tech moved up in classification from NAIA to NCAA Division II beginning in the 1995–96 school year. Foley's 1999 team finished as the NCAA Division II national runners-up. Six of Foley's teams won 30 games or more, and he coached 12 players that were recognized as All-Americans.
