Bethlehem Pike is a historic 42.21 mi (67.93 km) long road in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania that connects Philadelphia and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It began as a Native American path called the Minsi Trail which developed into a colonial highway called the King's Road in the 1760s.
In 1804, a turnpike called the Bethlehem Turnpike was created to run between Philadelphia and Bethlehem. [16] The turnpike was authorized to collect tolls in 1834, with many of its tollgates erected. The West Branch Neshaminy Creek forms the community's natural northern boundary and flows eastward into the Neshaminy Creek. It is located in Hatfield and Montgomery Townships.
The route continues east-northeast and crosses Bethlehem Pike and Old Bethlehem Pike in a commercial area in the community of White Horse. At the intersection with the latter, the road crosses into East Rockhill Township before it enters the borough of Perkasie and passes near residential neighborhoods, running along the top of a ridge.
