I would challenge the Henry lovers to inspect a Marlin (not my favorite lever gun!!!) or a Browning 1892 clone or a real vintage Winchester. The contrast to that 10 year old Henry is huge. The latest Browning ATD (22 semi-auto) and the BL-22 (22 lever), both made in Japan, are awesome.

Henry H001. I'm old now. When I was not my first rifle was a level action single shot Western Auto 22lr. Fast forward to many years later. Bought a Henry lever action 22lr this week. Having a blast being nostalgic. Love the Henry. Great action/trigger and overall build. Needs some better sights and lots of ammo.

Received an email this morning from Henry Firearms introducing two revolvers to the line. Both 38spl/357 mag, 4” barrels, one with ‘gun fighter’ grips the other with birdshead grips. IMO they’re a bit on the ugly side, no underlug protecting the ejector rod, flat finish…kind of reminds me of the last of the H&Rs.

Raising the rear sight lowers the front sight. Or in other words the front sight will move in the opposite direction of the movement of the rear sight. If your rifle is shooting low then lower the rear sight. You must not depend upon the protection from others, but you must learn to protect yourself.

Based on the information I found, the Mares Leg is illegal in some states, while in others, it may be legal to own but subject to specific restrictions. For example, in New York, there are discussions about the ...

I traded it to a buddy who really liked it, and I bought the Henry Golden Boy that I had been Jonesing for. We are both happy.

Two days later when I went to the gun dealer-FFL to claim my prize, reality set in: the receiver is neither grooved nor tapped. I'm now in my mid-60s, shoot only at range targets and want (okay, need ...
