The Red Sindhi is a dairy breed of zebuine cattle. It is believed to originate in western Sindh and in the Las Bela area of Balochistan, now in Pakistan. [2]: 281 [4] [5] It is widely kept in Pakistan, where in 2006 there were approximately 3 000 000 head; [3] there are small numbers in India and in Bangladesh.
Malvi cow. The Malvi or Malavi, also known as Manthani or Mahadeopuri, is breed of zebu cattle from the Malwa plateau in western Madhya Pradesh, in central India. [2] It is a good draught breed; the milk yield of the cows is low.
It is a dual-purpose breed, used both for draught work and for milk production. From about 1870 onwards, Kankrej bulls and cows were exported to Brazil, where they were used to create the Guzerá breed, [ 2 ] : 193 which was later among the breeds from which the American Brahman developed.
The Kangayam or Kangeyam is an Indian breed of draught cattle from the state of Tamil Nadu, in South India. [3]: 211 Its area of origin is Kongu Nadu, the region surrounding Coimbatore, close to the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, [4] [5]: 214 but it is distributed over a considerably wider area.
