Thomas Edwin Mostyn (1864 – 1930) was an English artist who worked during the late Victorian era and the early 20th century. Mostyn's works are mainly remembered from his idealistic and romantic garden scenes, as well as various portraits.
The Mostyn Baronetcy, of Talacre in the County of Flint, was created in the Baronetage of England on 28 April 1670 for Edward Mostyn. [5] This family descends from Richard ap Hewell, who was seated at Mostyn in the reign of King Henry VIII. His son, Pyers Mostyn, of Talacre, was the great-grandfather of the first Baronet.
Mostyn was called to the bar in 1980, initially undertaking beginner’s family work such as County Court domestic violence cases. He took silk in 1997. In 2000/01 he was on the losing side of the husband in the White v White case, where the judge ruled that "there should be no bias in favour of the money-earner and against the home-maker and the child-carer."
Mostyn was the son of Sir Thomas Mostyn, 4th Baronet of Mostyn Hall, Flintshire and his wife Sarah Western, daughter and co-heiress of Robert Western of London. [1] He was educated at Westminster School from 1745 to 1751 and matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford in 1751. [2] On the death of his father on 24 March 1758 he succeeded to the baronetcy.

John Steven Mostyn (March 28, 1971 – November 15, 2017) was an American attorney and the founder of Mostyn Law in Houston, Texas. Mostyn and his wife also founded the Glenda Jean Mostyn and Joe E Moreno Educational Foundation, a charity to assist children with special needs.
