Its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 222 Business (US 222 Bus.) in Reading. PA 10 is mostly a two-lane undivided road that serves Chester, Lancaster, and Berks counties.

Hopewell Township is located along the southeastern boundary of Beaver County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 17.0 square miles (44.0 km 2), of which 16.8 square miles (43.4 km 2) is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 km 2), or 1.40%, is water.
