Flinders Street railway station is a major railway station located on the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.It is the busiest railway station in Victoria, serving the entire metropolitan rail network, 15 tram routes travelling to and from the city, and V/Line services to Gippsland.

The station is approximately 11 km (6.8 mi) or around 25 minute train ride to Flinders Street station. [ 7 ] Glen Huntly consists of three platforms, an island platform with two faces and one side platform which is located beneath the road and is connected to the Glen Huntly Road building and concourse via stairs and escalators.
It closed in the same year, on 12 December. On the same day, a new station called Swan Street, also at ground level, opened. It was re-named Richmond on 1 January 1867.
