Mr. Bean is a fictional character from the British comedy television programme Mr. Bean, its animated spin-off, and two live-action feature films. He was created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis , portrayed by Atkinson, and made his first appearance on television in the pilot episode , which first aired on 1 January 1990.
Atkinson portrayed Mr. Bean in the film adaptations Bean (1997) and Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007), and voiced the title character in Mr. Bean: The Animated Series (2002–2019). He also featured on the BBC sitcom The Thin Blue Line (1995–1996) and played fictional French police commissioner Jules Maigret in ITV's Maigret (2016–2017).

On Christmas Eve, Mr. Bean visits Harrods to buy decorations. While the cashier sorts out his purchases, Bean uses a Nativity display to act out a scene with other toys, before his fun is brought to a halt by the store manager, who brings in a figure of a police officer, before handing Bean his purchases; Bean promptly leaves.
