Panther Creek Falls Trail is an interior hiking trail in Georgia's Cohutta Mountains, in Fannin County, northwest of Ellijay, at the southern end of the Smoky Mountains. The trail falls within the 35,000- acre Cohutta Wilderness , part of the Wilderness's 87 mile (140 km) trail system.

In the 1700s and earlier, a main indian trail began in Middleburgh and followed the Schoharie Creek upstream to Panther Creek. It then followed Panther to its source and continued on over the ridge to Summit Lake. The trail then followed Charlotte Creek from the lake and ended at the Susquehanna River.

The second waterfall on the trail is Angel Falls. [1] The falls are each about 50' in height on Joe Branch Creek. The trail begins at the Rabun Beach Camping Area #2 and is a moderately strenuous 0.5 mile hike to Panther Falls with Angel Falls and additional 0.5 mile.
Panther Creek has 50 campsites located on a loop and close to several trails. All campsites have access to water, electricity, and have picnic tables and fire rings. Eight of the campsites have access to sewer. [4] There are two bathhouses with hot showers and restrooms, a year-round laundromat, a dump station, and trading post. [4]
Cochran Shoals is the largest and most popular unit of the park, featuring a 3-mile (4.8 km) fitness trail, suitable for walking/jogging/biking, which is wheelchair-accessible and is excellent for bird- and wildlife-watching. The historic Marietta Paper Mill ruins along Sope Creek are preserved
