    Most Adobe software users can keep using outdated spot color palettes and just be careful not to use any newer, not-supported colors. Or they can just use RGB, CMYK or even LAB formulas for defining color values in things like logos and overall branding programs. Print publishing on dead trees is in a very serious state of decline.

    When you look in the Color Picker, you will see a triangle when you pick an out-of-gamut color. Click the triangle to watch the color jump to the nearest printable color.     Hi @sascha26841088hap6, The Adobe print applications are color managed—the display of an RGB value depends on the document‘s RGB color profile assignment. The application showing the color picker in your screen capture is probably not color managed and is displaying the RGB value using your OS’s Monitor profile.

    Hard to tell without seeing the image you want to change. There are lots of ways to do this. Making a color lighter does have some issues, in that the shadows are a little difficult to bring up to the lightness level one would want with a lighter shade, but there are ways to do this, such as moving the end points of curves, using screen mode, using L*A*B* color space make the corrections, etc.

    The only reason I recommended RGB as the color space was because of the inkjets ability to render a more saturated print and can optimize some of the color by going a little outside the typical CMYK gamut. This is an exception. A typical workflow would involve a CMYK color space, especially when you are confined to matching correct color.
