ABM Abdullah (born 1954) is a Bangladeshi physician, academic and was the personal physician of the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. IPGMR was established in December 1965 as a government-controlled postgraduate institute for medical research and studies. It was housed in Hotel Shahbag, which is now defunct and was once the biggest hotel in Dhaka.
It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education Saudi Arabia and managed by the Rector of the University, Dr. Abdulaziz Abdullah Alhamid.
