Tipp City is a city in southern Miami County, Ohio, United States, just outside Dayton. The population was 10,274 at the 2020 census . Originally known as Tippecanoe, and then Tippecanoe City, it was renamed to Tipp City in 1938 because another town in Ohio was likewise named Tippecanoe.
The Tipp City Independent Voice was founded by journalist Matt Bayman and began publishing on Wednesday, February 2, 2005. Mr. Bayman was its proprietor, publisher, editor and business manager until January 2, 2008, until he was joined by John E. Kessler, Tom Adkins, Mike Overbay and Matt Black in forming TGM Designs, which continued to publish the Tipp City Independent Voice.

Ginghamsburg Church was founded by a Methodist circuit rider, B.W. Day, in 1863 in the village of Ginghamsburg, Ohio. As a small church, until the 1920s it was part of a four-church circuit for a part-time preacher. From the 1920s on, students from a Dayton-based seminary served as part-time pastors for the congregation.
