Dec 15, 2019. 576. 243. Somerset. #1 May 4, 2020. I have finally finished the rebuild of a 1961 Tiger Cub, it has taken almost 3 years but has been worthwhile, if I sell it now I won't make a profit but I don't think you ever do on a rebuild. A few photos attached of before and after!

Cant quite remember the cubs clutch but to me it sounds like you haven't got the spring tension even which will cause it to grab, go back and adjust the springs while turning the bike over with the clutch in and try and achieve and even rotation. Agree x 1.

Current issue of Classic Bike magazine has two Cubs for sale in the classified ads - one is a '62 model with a '67 engine fitted for sale at £2,750 in Edinburgh, whilst the other is a trials Cub for £3,250 in Merseyside. Probably not unreasonable prices.

Hi.Im having difficulty in starting my cub.I was wondering just how much slack should there be in the primary chain.There is no tension plate to take up any slack.It does look to be a lot as compared to what they recommend for say the drive chain.I may need a new one.Thanks.

However I spoke to someone today who told me to stay well away as they are very unreliable and prone to "Big End" failure. Can anyone put my mind at ease? The bike is selling for £2500.

3. Cheshire. #36 Jul 15, 2021. After a few months of being bone idle, I have finally started to rip into the Tiger Cub. I would like to get the engine stripped down and rebuilt, as it has a couple of minor leaks, but this is probably a step too far for me.
Sydney. #1 Mar 3, 2022. Good morning All, I've just exported my 1958 Cub from UK to Sydney Australia and in the process of servicing it i've hit a snag. According to the manual, the primary chain case requires SAE 20 oil which unfortunately is not available in Australia.
I recon there just all out of stock, perhaps there's been a coid PANIC buy on early tiger cub condensers hahaha! I'll have to wait! The condensers and points seem to be readily available for the september 63 models onwards with the points in the casing, but the type I have on top of the casing seem to be all out of stock!
