For example, this Sunday, my plan is to be with a group for an off-road trip at Ocotillo Wells - a bit south of the Palm Springs area, west of the Salton Sea. It's purely off-road.... But in some ways, it can be considered overlanding too. A search online came up with this -

This is going to be my build thread for our white 2018 FXT. This will be my second Subaru I’ve owned but the first one that I’ve had a vision for. Currently awaiting my LP Adventure LP1 wheels to arrive. So far the only mods have been a K&N air filter, LED lighting replacements, and some cosmetic upgrades. More to come soon!

FWIW, these guys compare the Bronco Sport Badlands to the Outback Wilderness and give the off road win the the Bronco. They do say the Outback can do 9/10ths of what that Bronco can do off road. The W.Forester's angles are better than the W.Outback's (e.g., approach 23.5 to 19.6) so that probably gets the Forester even closer to that Bronco.

  11. The best sound deadening? | Subaru Forester Owners Forum

    www.subaruforester.org/threads/the-best-sound-deadening.12054

The Raammat deadens the panels, and the ensolite absorbs sound. They work great together. On our 2005 Forester I did all 5 doors, the front kick panels, and the rear wheel wells. At 60mph we observed a 4db drop noise. It isn't lexus quiet, but it is a big improvement. Plus all the little rattles virtually disappeared.
