"Waiting on the World to Change" is a song by American singer-songwriter John Mayer. It was released as the lead single from his third studio album, Continuum (2006). The song enjoyed commercial success as a single and won the Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 49th Grammy Awards.
The Ben Harper version of "Waiting on the World to Change" and an alternative acoustic-only version of "Good Love is on the Way" are also available on Mayer's subsequent release, the EP The Village Sessions. The first single, "Waiting on the World to Change", was released on July 11, 2006.

John Mayer once said (i believe on Twitter, altough i can't find it - doesn't matter) that he is amused by how people confuse the title for "Waiting FOR the world to change". As a non-native english speaker, i wonder what the exact difference is, and why (if?) it's amusing to John Mayer. A LOT of people on the internet make this mistake.
