Mary Gordon (born 13 October 1947) is a Canadian educator, social entrepreneur, child advocate and parenting expert. She is the founder and president of both Roots of Empathy and Seeds of Empathy, non-profit evidence-based programs dedicated to promoting emotional literacy and empathy among children.
The Meadowvale Community Centre was officially opened in January 1982. The original building was 43,500 square feet, including a pool, fitness centre with racquetball and squash courts, meetings rooms (including a large auditorium) and lobby space. [1] In 2014, the community centre was closed for redevelopment by the City of Mississauga.
The community centre also features a dance studio and two gymnasiums that are also utilized by St. Joan of Arc Students during the school year.
