This program grew into what is now known as Cornell University Summer College Programs for High School Students. [13] In 1968, two one-week summer programs were offered to Cornell alumni and their families under the auspices of the newly formed Cornell's Alumni University (now Cornell's Adult University), or CAU. The programs were designed to bring together young and intellectually bright students from around the world who share a passion for learning.
