Apr 5, 2015. #1. 5E sorcerers and wizards have separate spell lists. Mostly the sorcerer list is a subset of the wizard list, but the spells removed seem arbitrary. Obviously some utility spells and rituals would be poor choices for sorcerers, but other than that I can't see why these lists are separate. What would be the harm in combining the ...
These are ranged spell attacks from the whole list, not all are sorcerer spells. Chill Touch Chromatic Orb Eldritch Blast Guiding Bolt Melf's Acid Arrow Ray of Enfeeblement Ray of Frost Ray of Sickness Scorching Ray Witch Bolt These just have a spell attack as part of the spell. Two cantrips to be used at will and a 1st level spell once for long rest can solve many problems in specific builds, or help characters do what they already do even better (ex. Fighter with Hex). Many times, simple spells like these can also unburden the main caster(s) of the group, allowing them to be more focused.

Jun 25, 2015. #1. I was under the impression that a Wizard could learn from a spell scroll by simply paying the 50 gold per spell level as defined on page 114 of the PH. PH 114 said: Copying a Spell into the Book. When you find a wizard spell of 1st level or higher, you can add it to your spellbook if it is of a level for which you have spell ...
Sorcerer gets the metamagic feats that 5e stole from the Wizard, so they have that going for them. Wizard, basically is a sorcerer without metamagic feats, but the ability to have access to a wider variety of spells not only usable at any one time, but just access to a wider list of spells in general. Sure, you can then get into sub-classes ...
