The South Llano River is unique among west and central Texas rivers: it has never run dry in recorded history. Two large springs, in addition to many smaller springs, supply most of the water in the South Llano.

South Llano River State Park will be undergoing capital construction projects throughout the 2024-2025 hunting season. Blinds in or near construction will not be used. Construction is not expected to have an impact on hunt success at this time.
Located at 171 County Road 150 in Junction, this site offers a complimentary parking area and an access point to the South Llano River. This access site is approximately 7.7 river miles upstream of South Llano State Park which is the put-in point for the South Llano River Paddling Trail .
