Omaha (March 24, 1932 – April 24, 1959) was a champion American Thoroughbred racehorse who is the third winner of the American Triple Crown.. In a racing career which lasted from 1934 to 1936, Omaha won 9 of his 22 races.
[1] [2] The race was won by Omaha, ridden by Willie Saunders and trained by James E. Fitzsimmons. 18 horses participated in the race. [ 3 ] The victorious Omaha won the Triple Crown , [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] as he went on to win the Preakness Stakes [ 7 ] [ 8 ] and the Belmont Stakes .
