The Passenger is a 2023 Ugandan film directed by Hadijah Nakanjako and written by Meddy Sserwadda. The film stars Henry Nathan Katongole, Allen Musumba and Olot Bonny Elem in leading roles.
The film draws inspiration from a series of real-life bank heists that transpired in the village of Raipur, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, between 1998 and 2005. [23] Set in the notorious rural village of Chhyanchrapur, Bikram plays the titular role of a "bohurupi"-cum-bank dacoit. [24] He is a commerce graduate who works in the local jute mill.
