The Santa Cruz Wharf is a pier in Santa Cruz, California, United States, known for fishing, boat tours, viewing sea lions, dining, nightlife and gift shops. The current wharf was built in 1914, the most recent of six built on the site, [ 1 ] and is operated by the City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Office.
The Wharf, a public pier, is home to several restaurants in Santa Cruz, about 70 miles south of San Francisco. The pier was evacuated and closed to all emergency responders just after 1 p.m.
In 2003, they expanded the restaurant to include a tiki bar. [1] The restaurant is co-owned by Lynette Griffin. [2] In 2006 they opened a restaurant in Santa Cruz, California and in 2009 a location in Phoenix, Arizona. [3] In 2018, Hula's opened a speakeasy-themed bar next to the restaurant, called Next Door. [2]
