George Michael MacIntyre (born March 14, 1965) is an American football coach. He was the head coach at FIU from 2022–2024. MacIntyre previously served as the head football coach at San Jose State from 2010 to 2012 and at Colorado from 2013 to 2018. MacIntyre began his coaching career in 1990 as a graduate assistant at Georgia.
The 2024 FIU Panthers football team represented Florida International University in Conference USA (C-USA) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Panthers were led by Mike MacIntyre in his third year as the head coach. The Panthers played their home games at Pitbull Stadium, located in Miami, Florida. [1]

Witten began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach at Miami (FL). In 2015, Witten became an assistant coach at Winthrop. [1] Following a 3-year stint as an assistant with the Eagles, he took an assistant position with the VCU Rams. On June 23, 2022, Witten was named the head coach of the FIU Panthers. [2]
The relationship with Nelson goes back to FIU coaches seeing him at a 7-on-7 camp in 2022. At Miramar High last season, Nelson grabbed 65 passes for 1,123 yards, a 17.3 average and 12 touchdowns.
