A new high school was established in the older building and was renamed Comstock High School. A gymnasium and auditorium was constructed on the campus in 1937 through a Public Works Administration project. In 1942, a new high school building was built adjacent to the middle school. The 44-year-old Comstock School was torn down the following year.
