It is part of the Lehigh Valley metropolitan area, which had a population of 861,899 and was the 68th-most populous metropolitan area in the U.S. as of the 2020 census. As of the 2010 census, the village's population was 1,257.
As of the census [4] of 2000, there were 1,420 people, 559 households, and 423 families residing in the township. The population density was 38.3 inhabitants per square mile (14.8/km 2).
