The tz database partitions the world into regions where local clocks all show the same time. This map was made by combining version 2023d with OpenStreetMap data, using open source software. [1] This is a list of time zones from release 2025a of the tz database. [2]

This is an SVG version of the Time Zone map from the CIA World Factbook 2007. It was converted from the PDF original using Adobe Illustrator CS2. The SVG settings used were: DTD:SVG1.1; FONT:SVG; SUBSETTING:Only Glyphs Used. There are two fonts that I had to substitute.
