I can't see how the Beltway Series could be a rivalry, under the qualifications used in the article. From 1971 until 2005, there was only one team near the Washington, DC beltway: The Orioles. Prior to 1971, it doesn't seem like the Senators (the team now known as the Texas Rangers) were competitive enough to be much of a challenge for the O's.
