Jairam Ramesh (born 9 April 1954) is an Indian politician belonging to INC.He is a Member of Parliament representing Karnataka state in the Rajya Sabha.In July 2011, Jairam was elevated to the Union Council of Ministers of India and appointed Minister of Rural Development and Minister (additional charge) of the new Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

M. Jayashree (1921 – 2006), was an Indian actress who worked mainly in Kannada films. She is known for her supporting roles in such movies including Rayara Sose (1957), Naagarahaavu (1972), Eradu Kanasu and Sri Srinivasa Kalyana .
In 1941, Shantaram married actress Jayashree (née Kamulkar), with whom he had worked in several films, including Shakuntala (1942). He had three children with Jayashree: a son, the Marathi film director and producer Kiran Shantaram, [19] [20] and two daughters, the actress Rajshree and Tejashree. The couple divorced in 1956. [21]
