English: Pictured is an aerial view of Europa Point (the southernmost point of Gibraltar). The British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar is a rocky headland on the southern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. It has an area of just over 2 square miles and a population of 30,000.

The landscape is dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, at the foot of which is a densely populated town area, home to some 34,003 people, primarily Gibraltarians. Gibraltar was founded as a permanent watchtower by the Almohads in 1160.
At the end of the Rock of Gibraltar, the area is flat and occupied by such features as a playing field and a few buildings. On a clear day, views of North Africa can be seen across the Strait of Gibraltar including Ceuta and the Rif Mountains of Morocco; as well as the Bay of Gibraltar and the Spanish towns along its shores.
The view isn't actually of Gibraltar, but from Gibraltar (specifically from the top of the Rock). What is seen is La Línea de la Concepción ( Spain ) at the other side of the border.
