Al Duncan (October 8, 1927, McKinney, Texas — January 3, 1995, Las Vegas) [1] was an American drummer and songwriter. Music critic and musicologist Eugene Chadbourne described Duncan as a "forefather of rhythm and blues" and "one of less than a half dozen key studio legends of the 1950s and 1960s who have sometimes been called the 'grandfathers of groove'."
"You Can Call Me Al" is a song by American singer-songwriter Paul Simon. It was the lead single from his seventh studio album, Graceland (1986), released on Warner Bros. Records . Written by Simon, its lyrics follow an individual seemingly experiencing a midlife crisis .

Duncan Charles Arsenault (born August 28, 1974, in Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.) is a multi-instrumentalist and the drummer for the American rock bands the Curtis Mayflower, the Curtain Society, Sam James, Big Eyed Rabbit, and Scott Ricciuti & Pistol Whipped.
Members of the Aces played in Fatback, a local band in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the late 1960s and early 1970s, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Russell Smith, bassist Jeff "Stick" Davis, drummer Butch McDade (born David Hugh McDade in Clarksdale, Missouri; February 24, 1946 – November 29, 1998), [1] and Fatback's first lead guitarist Mike Brooks and later Dan Kennedy.
