Joo Chiat Road (IPA: /ˌdʒuː ˈtʃjɛt/, JOO-CHYET) is a road in Katong District and a residential conservation area located in the east coast of Singapore.Joo Chiat Rd intersect East coast Rd and Marine Parde Rd and end at Marine Parade Rd junction beside the new Marine Parade MRT station.
The Katong district stretches from Fort Road area to the Joo Chiat area. It used to be located by the sea , before land reclamation towards the south to East Coast Park was created for housing and recreational purposes beginning in the 1960s to 1970s.
The first major road East Coast Road meets is the historic Joo Chiat Road. This section of both roads are lined with historic shophouses. After meeting Still Road and Telok Kurau Road, East Coast Road passes in front of Saint Patrick's School, before meeting Frankel Avenue, which signals the roads entrance into Siglap.

Joo Chiat Single Member Constituency was a single member constituency (SMC) located in the eastern region of Singapore. The SMC encompasses the areas of Joo Chiat , Katong , opera estate, Siglap and a portion of Telok Kurau.
