O'Sullivan was born on 1 December 1946 in Cork Road, Waterford, Ireland. [6] He was one of six children. His mother May ran a sweet shop and his father was a butcher with Clover Meats. [7] [8] [9] The O'Sullivans emigrated due to a job offer in England. [10]
Waterford was established around 1733 by Amos Janney, a Quaker from Bucks County, Pennsylvania.Janney purchased 400 acres (1.6 km 2) on the south fork of Catoctin Creek and established a grist mill and saw mill in the area in the 1740s.
O'Sullivan won six Waterford SHC titles in total between 1992 and 2001. [4] He was also part of Ballygunner's inaugural Munster Club SHC-winning team in 2001. [5] O'Sullivan's inter-county career with Waterford began at minor level. He was part of the Waterford team beaten by Galway in the 1992 All-Ireland minor final. [6]

Mark O'Sullivan is an association footballer who played for League of Ireland Premier Division club Cork City as a striker for several years. [1] O'Sullivan spent four years with Munster Senior League side Avondale United before signing for Cork City Foras in 2010. He later returned to Avondale United, before returning to Cork City in 2014.
