Arizona Financial was established in 1936 as the Phoenix City Employees Federal Credit Union. [2] This union merged with similar credit unions for city employees of Mesa (and Chandler), Scottsdale, and Tempe in 1981 to form Arizona Federal Credit Union, with 28,000 members and $48 million in assets. [3]
The J. C. Penney–Chicago Store Building = was built in 1903 and is located in 130 E. Congress St.. J.C. Penney, was the building's longest single tenant, occupying the building from 1927 to 1957. The El Paso-based department store occupied the building until 1967 when it closed. The Chicago Store moved in after the El Paso store closed.

It was registered as a Chicago Landmark by the City of Chicago in 1977. From roughly 1929, after Krause closed the music store, it was rented and operated as a Funeral Home. In 2006, the building was purchased by Studio V Design, who had the façade restored and the interior renovated. [5]
