This is a list of Kansas county courthouses. Each of Kansas's 105 counties has a courthouse in a city that is the county seat where the county government resides.
Franklin is a census-designated place (CDP) in Crawford County, Kansas, United States. [1] As of the 2020 census , the population was 473. [ 2 ] Franklin is located along U.S. Route 69 , 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Arma , or 5.9 miles (9.5 km) north of Frontenac .
Hoyt was founded in 1886. [4] It was named for George Henry Hoyt, an abolitionist and attorney for John Brown. [5]The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad originally passed through Hoyt and in the late 1890s and early 1900s, Hoyt was a large cattle and hay shipping point between St. Joseph, Missouri and Herington, Kansas.
Calista became a community in 1886 after the community of Maud (1881-1886) was moved there. [3] This original community known as "Old Calista" lasted until 1896 [4] when the community had to be moved to make way for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.
