Kempton Park Racecourse is a horse racing track together with a licensed entertainment and conference venue in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England, on the border with Greater London; it is 13 miles west of Charing Cross in central London.
It is run at Kempton Park over a distance of 1 mile 1 furlong and 219 yards (2,011 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late March or early April. It was switched to Kempton's newly opened all-weather track in 2006. From 1994 to 2007 the race took place during the Easter weekend.
Hoosier Park Casino opened to the public on June 2, 2008. [4] In 2001, Indiana Downs became the second horse racing track in the state. Initially located in Fairland, Indiana; it was later annexed into nearby Shelbyville, Indiana. The Indiana Derby was once held at Hoosier Park but is now held at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino.

Kempton Park is only around 600 metres (660 yd) from Sunbury station, the shortest distance between two stations on the line. Until June 2006 it opened only for event days at Kempton Park Racecourse; since then, following the increase in racing days and after consultation with the Jockey Club , it has had stopping services every day.
