In general, what is your preference in die manufacturer for higher end reloading dies and why? For the sake of universal accessibility and applicability, we are talking commercially available dies from some of the larger online retailers available off the shelf, without having to custom order...
I was looking for a micrometer seater die and found plenty of recommendations for the Forster Ultra, seemed to check all the boxes so I ordered one. Well, it arrived this afternoon. Looked okay straight out of the box but the threads were a bit rough running the lock ring, I put a bit of oil...
Please excuse me if this is a pretty basic question. I have been reloading for my hunting rifles for the last 5 years or so with standard RCBS dies and rockchucker press. I've had pretty decent results, especially for hunting rifles. I have a custom 6.5 Creedmoor being built and I'm looking...
I have a set of rcbs .338 fl reloading dies that were given to me when I got my rifle. I want to replace them and was wondering if anyone has used both and found one better then the other.
I'm a long time reloader of pistol ammo and "plinking" .223, but I'm brand-spanky new in precision rifle reloading. I bought a good turret press and am shopping for dies, so looking for the best dies for 6GT. On the GAP website I see RCBS MatchMaster 2-die set, which includes a .266 bushing...
Re: Any issues reloading 338 Lapua on a Forster Co Seems to work just fine for me. I use the Forster Benchrest dies. I lifts the loaded round straight up, then tip the base towards me on removal, again, no problem.
Willing to spend up to $200 or so on a set of reloading dies for 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm relatively new to rifle reloading and it's such a big jump from pistol reloading. What die set would you guys recommend or have bought for 6.5 Creedmoor?
Redding's standard dies don't offer any specific features. The standard Forster seater combined with the Redding FL bushing sizer is an economic combination for those interested in bushing dies. Forster has introduced a bushing neck-sizing die that will also bump the shoulder; eventually the cases will need full-length sizing.

Custom honed FL sizing dies are my favorite. I would prefer to get forster, but since they don't do the custom honing service these days I use whidden and replace the decapping stems with forsters decapper w/ high ball expander.
