Downers Grove is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. It was founded in 1832 by Pierce Downer, whose surname serves as the eponym for the village. Per the 2020 census , the population of the village was 50,247.
Downers Grove Township is one of nine townships in DuPage County, Illinois, US. As of the 2020 census, its population was 149,921 and it contained 61,933 housing units. [ 2 ] It is the largest township in the county, both in terms of area and population.
Gostyn (/ ˌ ɡ ɒ s t ɪ n / GOS-tin) is a community within the village of Downers Grove in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. It is located along Fairview Avenue near Westmont. According to an 1889 directory, [1] the community was predominantly of Polish descent, with 575 residents.

As of 2018, Downers Grove Main Street is the sixth busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 2,492 weekday boardings. [1] The local police department and library are nearby. Parking lots are managed by the Village of Downers Grove. The station has connections to multiple Pace Buses, including the Commuter Shuttle lines. [3]
