The London Borough of Camden (/ ˈ k æ m d ə n / ⓘ) [2] is a borough in Inner London, England.Camden Town Hall, on Euston Road, lies 1.4 mi (2.3 km) north of Charing Cross.The borough was established on 1 April 1965 from the former metropolitan boroughs of Holborn, St Pancras and Hampstead.

The London Borough of Camden and its council were created under the London Government Act 1963, with the first election held in 1964. [3] For its first year the council acted as a shadow authority alongside the area's three outgoing authorities, being the councils of the three metropolitan boroughs of Hampstead, Holborn and St Pancras. [4]
