Daryl scolds Denise for almost getting herself killed, but Denise says she needed the experience and specifically asked Daryl and Rosita to accompany her so she could learn from their strengths. Suddenly, a crossbow bolt strikes Denise through the eye from behind, killing her.

Wade demands Dwight, Sherry, and Tina return what they took. Daryl is able to help them escape, in turn luring one of Wade's men named Cam (Matt Lowe) into a walker. The walker bites Cam in the left arm, forcing Wade to cut it off therefore ending their pursuit. Daryl continues with Dwight, Sherry, and Tina and come to the remains of a greenhouse.

After seizing Daryl as a hostage, Negan and the Saviors leave the group in despair. After the group reels in shock and grief, Rick tells a heartbroken Maggie, still suffering from pregnancy complications, that they need to get her to the Hilltop Colony's doctor. However, Maggie urges that they all head back to Alexandria and prepare to fight.
