Steve Duemig (November 26, 1954 – May 16, 2019) was an American sports media personality and had a daily local sports talk show on AM 620 WDAE in Tampa since 1996 which has been the #1 rated sports talk show in the area, and worked for AM 910 WFNS for 5 years prior to WDAE. The on-air name given to himself was "The Big Dog."

WHNZ is the successor of two radio stations, co-owned WDAE, one of Florida's oldest radio stations, going on the air May 15, 1922; 102 years ago (). In 1998 Cox swapped its 620 AM signal for the 97.1 signal owned by the Concord Broadcasting Group, whose easy-listening station, WLVU-FM, moved from 106.3 to 97.1 shortly before the swap. After the move to FM, WSUN-FM adopted an oldies format as "Oldies 97.1", while Concord changed 620's calls to WSAA, and became a simulcast of Bay News 9 .
