Luke 24 is the twenty-fourth and final chapter of the Gospel of Luke in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. Etching by Jan Luyken illustrating the parable, from the Bowyer Bible.. The Parable of the Faithful Servant (or Parable of the Door Keeper) is a parable of Jesus found in Matthew 24:42-51, Mark 13:34-37, and Luke 12:35-48 about how it is important for the faithful to keep watch.
N. T. Wright considers the detailed narration of the Emmaus journey in Luke 24:13–35 [4] as one of the best sketches of a biblical scene in the Gospel of Luke. [5] Jan Lambrecht, citing D. P. Moessner, writes: "the Emmaus story is one of Luke's 'most exquisite literary achievements'."
For example, according to Luke 2:11 Jesus was the Christ at his birth, but in Acts 2:36 he becomes Christ at the resurrection, while in Acts 3:20 it seems his messiahship is active only at the parousia, the "second coming"; similarly, in Luke 2:11 he is the Saviour from birth, but in Acts 5:31 [44] he is made Saviour at the resurrection; and he ...

In Christianity, the Sermon on the Plain refers to a set of teachings by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke, in 6:20–49. [1] This sermon may be compared to the longer Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew. [2] Luke 6:12–20a details the events leading to the sermon. In it, Jesus spent the night on a mountain praying to God.
Mark 15:24, Luke 23:33, John 19:18, Matthew 27:35 all share a succinct summary of the crucifixion, in that they all say, "They crucified Him". Mark and John give an account of the time of Jesus' death ("The third hour" in Mark 15:25, and the "sixth hour" in John 19:14–15), whereas Luke, and Matthew himself do not.
Mark and Luke do not connect the verse to the Sermon. Jesus Christ reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Instantly he was healed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, "See that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
