To this day, it remains Hong Kong's only faculty training dental professionals. In 1984, both the School of Architecture and School of Education became fully-fledged faculties and in the same year the Faculty of Law was created. The Faculty of Business and Economics was established in 2001 as the university's tenth and youngest faculty.
The Business School is well recognized for focusing on new technologies, thanks to a large variety of study tracks and proximity with Nanshan, Shenzhen. [ 5 ] [ 6 ] [ 7 ] It has six academic departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, and Information System, Business Statistics, and Operations Management (ISOM).
The school offers degree programs– undergraduate, MBA, EMBA, MSc and PhD – and a range of executive education. 7 research centres [74] are assigned to areas from business case studies and investing to Asian Financial Markets and China Business & Management. A new purpose-built campus is in place to enable the school to develop further.
