Life expectancy in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka scores higher than the regional average in healthcare having a high life expectancy and a lower maternal and infant death rate than its neighbors. [1] [2] In 2018 life expectancy was 72.1 for men and 78.5 for women ranking the country 70th in the world. [3]
Princy was born and raised up in Ragama, Western Province of Sri Lanka. In 2003, she was found to have diagnosed with HIV positive which she had contracted from her husband. [5] She was discriminated in the society ever since becoming a victim to the disease and it inspired her to lay the foundation to the Positive Women's Network.
