It peaked at number 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100 , but fared much better on the US Cash Box Top 100 , where it peaked at number 18.

Records issued a two-disc edition of Automatic for the People which includes a CD, a DVD-Audio disc containing a 5.1 -channel surround sound mix of the album done by Elliot Scheiner , and the original CD booklet with expanded liner notes .
