Sparta Township is a township in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,912 at the 2020 census, [ 3 ] up from 1,832 at the 2010 census. [ 4 ] The Township surrounds Spartansburg , a borough of a few hundred people.
Centerville Borough is located just north of the southern terminal moraine for glaciation in northwestern Pennsylvania. The borough is drained by Oil Creek, a southward-flowing tributary of the Allegheny River, which runs through the western side of town and East Branch Oil Creek, which enters the borough from the northeast and joins the main creek west of the borough center.

The northern terminus of the route is at U.S. Route 6, U.S. Route 19, and Pennsylvania Route 408 in Cambridge Springs. The southern terminus is at Pennsylvania Route 27 in Meadville.
