Museums protect and conserve Philippine arts. A number of museums in the country possess works of art which have been declared National Treasures, particularly the National Museum of the Philippines in Manila. Other notable museums include the Ayala Museum, Negros Museum, Museo Sugbo, Lopez Museum, and Metropolitan Museum of Manila.
The work was a gold medalist during the Exposicion General de las Filipinas [1] (International Philippine Exposition) in Madrid. [3] In 1889, an international jury made the painting a silver medalist during the Paris Exposition , a distinct recognition that no other Filipino painter had achieved at the major art arena in Paris.
The site has been declared by the National Museum of the Philippines as a National Cultural Treasure in 1973. It is also included in the list of the World Inventory of Rock Art in 1985 and historic sites of the World Monuments Watch and World Monuments Funds [2] and part of the Philippines' tentative list of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
