Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, is a 210-bed hospital in the greater Fox Valley area. It is named after Ira Clifton Copley , who donated over $2 million for the original hospital. It is part of the Rush University System for Health, which includes Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital.
In January 1997, Waubonsee established the Aurora Fox Valley Campus, next to Copley Medical Center, which houses healthcare programs and offers general education courses. The Plano Campus, opened in 2011, recently evolved into the Innovation and Design Center, featuring programs in Computer-Aided Design, Cybersecurity, and Welding. [3]

Advocate Aurora Health (AAH) is a non-profit, faith-based health care system with dual headquarters located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Downers Grove, Illinois. As of 2021, the AAH system has 26 hospitals and more than 500 sites of care, with 75,000 employees, including 10,000 employed physicians. [ 2 ]
In August 2018, the city approved a plan for the hospital to be renovated by Fox Valley Developers LLC and Kluber Architects + Engineers, with the intention of converting it into a nursing home and apartments for people with disabilities.
