A form is an artist's way of using elements of art, principles of design, and media. Form, as an element of art, is three-dimensional and encloses space. Like a shape, a form has length and width, but it also has depth. Forms are either geometric or free-form, and can be symmetrical or asymmetrical.
digital art created using 3D computer graphics; any form of visual art resulting in a three-dimensional physical object, such as sculpture, architecture, installation art and many decorative art forms; two-dimensional art that creates the appearance of being in 3D, such as through stereoscopy, anamorphosis, or photorealism
Visual arts – class of art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and others, that focus on the creation of works which are primarily visual in nature. Visual Arts that produce three-dimensional objects, such as sculpture and architecture, are known as plastic arts.
Assemblage is an artistic form or medium usually created on a defined substrate that consists of three-dimensional elements projecting out of or from the substrate. It is similar to collage, a two-dimensional medium. It is part of the visual arts and it typically uses found objects, but is not limited to these materials.
Presently, the effect of the influence of nature is less obvious: instead of designed objects looking exactly like the natural form, they use only slight characteristics to remind us of nature. Victor Papanek (1923–1999) was one of the first American industrial designers to use biomorphic analysis in his design assignments.
Form is a three-dimensional object with volume of height, width and depth. [2] These objects include cubes, spheres and cylinders. [2] Form is often used when referring to physical works of art, like sculptures, as form is connected most closely with those three-dimensional works. [5]
Form is the three-dimensional artwork. Forms can be geometric or organic. Three-dimensional art has volume, which is the amount of space occupied by the form. The form also has mass, which means that the volume is solid and occupies space. Three-dimensional art design consists of three main elements: balance, proportion and rhythm.
Multidimensional art is art that cannot be represented on a two-dimensional flat canvas. Artists create a third dimension with paper or another medium. [ 1 ] In multidimensional art an artist can make use of virtually any items ( mediums ).
